anyone use the eq on fruity?

i cant get to grips with it my drums never sound like they fit to the beat they always sound like ive got a sample and ive just chucked anything over them - although i pick the drums that sound like they fit - what eq'ing do you do on fruity?

For the drums i suggest you set a different channel for each kick/snare/hat and tweak them accordingly.

If you see those 3 little bars/sliders on the right side at the bottom of the Mixer window, move the middle one to the top and use the knob and turn it either way until you find the peak level. Then lower the slider until you have the snare sounding at it's peak and that way you find the good middle.

Also i wouldn't use any presets on fruity for reverb, i suggest tweaking the sliders yourself and changing the data on reeverb 2, so you get a sound that you personally like.

The last thing, always use the fruity compressor and choose the preset Drums. It keeps them leveled, but you'll have to turn down the volume.

Ive been told my mixdowns are good, and i never use it LOL, i just ajust the volumes on each channel accordingly.

i dont use fruity so i cant really comment but ive heard that fruitys eq's are shit unless u have a high quality vst for mastering/effects
